Goldsource Source Portfolio Music About

About Me

Ok, so this is the somewhat serious part: my name is Anthony Joseph Scarcella. I'm a 20 year old designer (I guess) hailing from the golden country of Australia. I've been level designing for a good few years now, starting with the Goldsource engine (Half-Life, Spirit of Half-Life), and then later on, the Source engine (Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch).

I'm a pretty geeky and weird sorta person, which is pretty evident by all the extra little junk I've thrown into this site. If you have a geeky mind like me, you'll have probably noticed some of the little bits.

Speaking of geekiness, I'm a moderator at TWHL a beginners Half-Life mapping site and community. I've been at the site now for an abnormally long time. I'm also on the staff as a writer for Sliced Gaming, where I post up the latest happenings in Australian gaming as well as reviews and other items. Geeeeeektastic.

I'm currently enrolled at the University of New South Wales College of Fine Arts in Paddington, Sydney, where I'm completing my Bachelor of Digital Media degree. It is quite a fine and dandy Uni I would have to say.

Ok, what else...oh, I dabble in a bit of music recording, so you can also find that stuff on my site as well. Hopefully I'll be updating this section regularly with fresh new tunes for you listen to and maybe enjoy as well!

And now for something completely different.

About Scrub Studios

Scrub Studios isn't really a studio at all. I've decided to brand all my work not only in the level design world but other digital media fields under a company name. Scrub Studios comes from two origins: the first being the technical term for when you scroll through something frame by frame (i.e. scrubbing through a playhead). The second is from the TV show Scrubs (I love that show). The logo is my own creation in Illustrator. This website is a showcase of all the work I've done. It's created purely from text-based programs (NotePad++ on Windows XP). Almost all the graphics have been made by me: non-original graphics have been credited.

If you find anything wrong with the site, or I've done something illegal, or you just want to ask me something, please don't hesitate to contact me.
